Little Brook

Project Overview

We’re making improvements on 30th Ave NE to make it safer and more comfortable for people to walk, bike, and roll in the area. These upgrades were requested by community during a “walkshop” in July 2025. The changes will complement another project we’re doing as part of our Transit Spot Improvements program at 30th Ave NE and NE 140th St.

This project is being built as part of the Neighborhood-Initiated Safety Partnership Program, which works with the highest need communities to design and build safety improvements. We expect construction to begin in late 2026.

Project elements include:

  • Five new speed cushions on 30th Ave NE between NE 137th St and NE 145th St
  • A new marked crosswalk on 30th Ave NE at NE 140th St
  • Two new marked crosswalks on 30th Ave NE at NE 143rd St
