Get Your Music Venue Zone Permit - Apply Today

Venues can apply now for the permit. SDOT will review applications and install Music Venue Zones on a rolling basis. There is a $250 annual permit fee.

The Music Venue Zone Permit Program helps musicians and their crews park and unload safely at approved music venues.

  • Venues can apply for one permit each, which creates up to three Music Venue Zones.
  • Music Venue Zones are available 24/7 for loading, unloading, and parking.
  • Music Venue Zones are intended only for touring musicians and their associated crews with a valid permit.
  • Vehicles in these spaces without a permit will be ticketed and towed.
  • The permit costs $250 per year.

To qualify for the permit, music venues must:

  1. Have a valid City of Seattle business license
  2. Host live music events at least two different days each week
  3. Charge a fee for entry for live music events

When reviewing permit applications, we will evaluate parking conditions around your venue. We will also engage with adjacent businesses to understand and balance access to parking and curbspace.

You may apply for the permit online or call the SDOT Permit Counter at (206) 674-5086.
