Transit

Getting around by transit

Getting around Seattle is easy with diverse transit options like buses, light rail, and boats.

Transit is operated by King County Metro, Sound Transit, Community Transit, Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT), the City of Seattle, and others. All regional transit agencies work together to help you reach your destination. This page can help you find the services to get you where you want to go.

The Flip Your Trip website is a helpful resource with information on using transit, ridesharing, biking, scooting, and walking and rolling around town.

How we are supporting transit

The Seattle Department of Transportation works closely with other agencies to build infrastructure to support increased transit options and improve reliability. We also buy additional bus services through the voter-approved Seattle Transit Measure and provide equitable access to diverse Seattle communities through our Transportation Access Programs (TAP).
