Spot sidewalk and shoulder repair on the west side of 39th Ave S

Upgrade the curb ramps on the west side Juneau St and 39th Ave S

Ensure that all corners meet ADA standards

Construction was completed in July 2019.

STREETS | Rainier Ave S and S Rose St

“Rose St Triangle” Upgrades

Project Description and Goals:
The Rose St Triangle is a City managed property in the Rainer Valley, near the Dunlap neighborhood. The location serves as a connection for commuters traveling to downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill on Metro routes 7 and 9. The Rose St Triangle suffers from substandard lighting and visibility, due to the overgrown landscape and the current pedestrian light location. Relocating or installing a new pedestrian light fixture and trimming the overgrown landscape increases nighttime visibility and creates a safer space for all travelers.

Project Solution(s):

Relocate or install new pedestrian light

Trim and maintain the overgrown landscape

Construction was completed in March 2019.
