City Wide Pool Renovation

Seattle Parks and Recreation are planning maintenance renovations to multiple Pools in our system. We are fortunate to have 10 pools in our City and have needs that exceed current funding. Our current work program is primarily focused on renovation of the existing locker rooms to meet current accessibility codes, and structural and utility systems improvements while also providing a refresh of these spaces. More detail by location is listed below, subject to change based on market conditions, emergency issues, and other factors.
Colman Pool:
- Men’s and Women’s locker room renovations. This includes creating a separate universal changing room with separate entrance to the pool deck.
- Renovation of the exterior restrooms that service the Park.
- Seismic upgrades, partial roof replacement, caretaker residence renovation, replace pool plaster liner.
- Additional improvements include pool filtration, heating and pump system upgrades.
Meadowbrook Pool:
- Men’s and Women’s locker room renovations. Renovation of the two universal changing rooms.
- HVAC improvements, plaster liner replacement, roof and seismic improvements.
- At the same time a partial roof replacement will occur at the community center.
Medgar Evers Pool:
- Men’s and Women’s locker room renovations.
- Renovation of the two universal changing rooms.
- HVAC replacement and structural repairs.
Mounger Pool:
- Men’s and Women’s locker room renovations.
Helene Madison Pool:
- Men’s and Women’s locker room renovations.
- Renovation of the two universal changing rooms
- Plaster liner replacement.
Rainier Beach Pool:
- Pool HVAC replacement and plaster liner replacement.
Queen Anne Pool:
- Plaster liner replacement

$21M total project budget.
