Community Grant Programs
The Community Grant Programs encompass four separate programs:
Arts in Parks (Seattle Office of Arts & Culture)
The Arts in Parks Grant provides funding for programs & events that promote arts, celebrate diversity, and build connections in the community, especially to underserved and economically challenged areas. This is a collaboration between the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture and Seattle Parks and Recreation.
Get Moving
The Get Moving Grant funds culturally relevant physical activities for communities where health disparities are prevalent. Funded activities will strengthen the collaboration between Seattle Parks and Recreation and Seattle communities.
Hope For Youth
The Hope For Youth grant is meant to increase access to athletic, recreational, and positive youth development activities. Hope for Youth’s primary purpose is to support youth sports organizations that serve marginalized and economically distressed communities. The funds are intended to offset the cost of participation and provide opportunities for youth to engage in positive sports, fitness programs, and youth development opportunities.
Recreation For All
The Recreation for All Grant funds new, innovative, and/or culturally relevant recreation opportunities. Funded activities will develop new and ongoing relationships with Seattle Parks and Recreation community centers, parks, and facilities.
