About
McGilvra Place is a small, tree-shaded triangle at the intersection of E. Madison St., E. Pike St. and 15th Ave.
McGilvra Place was created in 1901. The small triangle of land is named after John J. McGilvra, whose homesite was on Lake Washington at the end of the road through the timber which became E Madison Street.
Healthy Capitol Hill Hike
Get fit in your neighborhood parks!
This park is a stop on the Healthy Capitol Hill Hike, two loops connecting neighborhood parks with exercise stations for humans and dogs.
There's a 1.5-mile upper body loop and a 1.6-mile lower body loop. Both loops start at Cal Anderson Park, so you can connect them for a 5K!
Visit Healthy Capitol Hill Hike | Engage Seattle Parks for full route maps and exercise instructions.
