Bobby Morris Playfield Synthetic Turf Replacement

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) is in the early design phase of replacing the synthetic turf at Bobby Morris Playfield. A design consultant has been selected to develop site plans and assist with progressing the project through construction.

Budget

The total budget for this project is $2,805,650 in funding provided by Seattle Metropolitan Park District (MPD).

Schedule

Planning: Winter 2025 - Fall 2025
Design & Permitting: Winter 2026 – Winter 2027
Construction: Summer 2027 
Completion: Fall 2027

Project Description

Per Seattle Parks and Recreation’s asset lifecycle policy for synthetic turf replacement, this project will replace the synthetic turf at Bobby Morris Playfield and address athletic field access barriers.

Bobby Morris Playfield will be closed during construction. SPR will work with our design team and athletic scheduling team to limit the impact on field users.
