The scope of this project is phase two of park improvements focused on the play area. This phase will address community/park needs and will plan out but not build additional amenities as outlined in the Long Range Development Plan.

Seattle Parks and Recreation (SPR) completed phase one of improvements at Marra-Desimone Park and the park is now open. Phase one of development was shaped by budget and community priorities which included accessible pathways, walking loops, a central open green area, benches, picnic tables, drainage improvements, a paved parking lot with ADA parking, a new irrigation system with solar-powered control system, and 80+ trees and grass plantings.

As part of the Marra-Desimone Park improvement project, SPR collaborated with SDOT on street accessibility improvements on South 7th Street and Director Avenue South.
