The project team has finalized the play area design based on the community input from the preferred "Option C" design. Please see the play equipment design renderings.

To minimize construction disruption to the school, Seattle Conservation Corps has completed the demolition of the play equipment during the spring break. Installation of concrete curb ramps and play equipment footings will occur in May. The play area will be ready to host the Volunteer Service Day on June 23 for the Greater and Greener Conference.

During the spring break, the SPR district maintenance crew and turf crew completed leveling and reseeding the adjacent turf field. The chain link fence will stay in place for grass establishment.

Both the play area and the field will reopen to the public in the summer.
