Meridian Playground Play Area Improvements

The design consultant has developed three conceptual designs for the play area and an open house will be held on July 31st during the Wallingford Farmers Market. At this open house, people can view the concept designs and let us know which concepts or parts of the concepts are preferred. Following this, a preferred conceptual design will be developed and shared with the community.

This project aims to make site improvements to the play area located within the western half of the former Home of Good Shepherd property. Most components of the play area were constructed in the early 1980s, and revised in 2002, and some equipment was replaced through a Neighborhood Matching Fund project in 2011. Several elements/features within the play area such as existing play equipment, art paving, play area ramps, custom-made v  slides, and rubber tiles need to be renovated or replaced.
