For Our Waters

Our health and livelihoods depend on water. We must protect it for future generations.

We invest in operations, maintenance, and infrastructure that protects our waters from sewer overflows and stormwater pollution, and supports healthy creeks and aquatic habitat. Learn more about SPU’s work for our waters:

We lead community and volunteer programs that reduce stormwater pollution from residents and businesses, encourage proper disposal of fats, oils & grease and proper flushing, plant trees, help customers with side sewer maintenance and promote storm drain care.

We have Drainage and Sewer Plans that guide our future investments. We report regularly on our progress and share the regulatory and legal requirements that guide our work.
