Charitable Giving

As a public utility, we work every day to bring value to our customers. One way we do this is by providing opportunities for our customers and employees to give back to the communities and causes they care about.

Project Share

Imagine turning on a light and nothing happens. Every year, thousands of friends, neighbors, children, and seniors would have been left in the dark if it wasn't for Project Share and donations from people like you. Project Share is a Washington State registered charity funded by donations from the community. Donations are tax deductible and help people in need maintain access to essential electricity services.

Since 1990, City Light has been assisting customers who are facing financial challenges and have past due electricity bills with emergency assistance made possible by Project Share.

Two Ways to Donate

  • Give online with your credit or debit card ($10.00 minimum donation). If you are donating from outside the United States, please call.

  • Add a one-time or recurring donation added to your City Light bill.

No one should go without electricity. Please consider donating today.

Employee Giving

Our employees participate throughout the year in events that champion and raise money for important causes. Whether grassroots events like our annual Car Show BBQ, employee-led holiday giving drives, to utility-wide campaigns for Project Share, City Light empowers our employees to make a difference.
