What's Happening Now?

Project Update (December 2025): Restoration design and permitting started in December 2025 and will continue through the end of 2026. We currently anticipate restoration to begin in Q1 2027. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we prepare to restore all areas affected by our cable replacement project to their original or better condition.

Community Benefits

Our cable replacement project enhanced electrical reliability and reduced the likelihood of unplanned power outages in the View Ridge area. We completed the cable replacement in May 2025.

Anticipated Impacts for Restoration

During construction, you can expect:

  • Temporary parking and sidewalk closures.
  • Construction signs and flaggers redirecting pedestrian and vehicle traffic as needed to maintain safety.
  • Some equipment noise.
  • All streets and landscaping affected by cable replacement construction will be permanently restored and repaved, per City of Seattle standards.

Schedule

Crews completed underground cable construction and replacement in May 2025. We currently expect permanent restoration to start in Q1 2027. We will publish an updated timeline and daily work hours for restoration before construction begins.
