As a college intern, you'll work alongside energy, government and business professionals, while learning new skills and developing deep industry knowledge. Specifically, you will benefit from:

Current College Internship Opportunities
Summer Internships
Summer internship opportunities are typically posted in January. These internships start in May or June, depending on your school schedule. Summer internships typically last around 3 months, but some internships may last longer (the duration of the position is included in the post). During the summer, interns are typically expected to work 40 hours/week.
School Year Internships
We hire interns for part time work during the school year. If available, these opportunities are posted in early February, August, and November. These internships start around the beginning of the corresponding academic quarter and last anywhere from 3-12 months. During school, interns will typically work no more than 20 hours per week and hours can be adjusted to work with your academic schedule.

College Internship FAQs
Most internships are based out of our downtown Seattle office at 5th and Columbia. We have some internships at our Skagit Hydroelectric Project in the North Cascades as well. The location is noted in the internship opportunity posted.
We hire interns from a variety of academic areas - engineering, business, environmental studies, public administration, arts and sciences and more. Eligible majors will be noted in the internship opportunity posting.
Usually we hire students in their sophomore, junior, senior and graduate years of school. Eligible student years will be noted in the internship opportunity posted.
You must be enrolled in accredited college courses, with a part-time or full-time course load leading to a graduate, baccalaureate, associate or two-year certificated degree relevant to the internship. Each internship has a minimum GPA requirement, based on the intern's academic major and level.
Most college internships are posted in late winter and take place during the summer. Internships may become available during other times of the year as well and we encourage you to check our job postings page regularly.
