We work in and give back to our communities.

Powerful Giving Logo

As a local, not-for-profit, public utility, we know the power of giving. Whether it's time, talent or treasure, City Lighters show up for their communities.

Throughout the year, our employees champion and raise money for important causes. Whether grassroots events like our annual Car Show BBQ and Toys for Tots giving drive or utility-wide campaigns to raise funds for Project Share, City Light empowers our people to make a difference.

We also celebrate our employees who volunteer their time and talents through team activities, such as Adopt-a-Highway and Duwamish Valley Community Cleanup, and through personal interests close to their hearts, whether staffing homeless shelters, participating in Habitat for Humanity, or coaching youth sports teams.

That is powerful giving.

Project Share

Hands with heart placed in them

Since 1990, City Light has helped customers facing financial challenges through Project Share. This charity is funded by community donations and provides one-time bill assistance for income-qualified residential customers.

To support this charitable cause, City Light organizes employee and community giving campaigns to raise money for Project Share, with 100% of the funds going to customers in need.

These donations help people in our community maintain essential electricity services. Learn more or donate to Project Share.
