Distribution Line Sensor Installations

City Light Construction Project

Project Description

Seattle City Light crews will be installing approximately 84 distribution line sensors throughout our service territory.

Line sensors are remote communicating devices that monitor electrical lines, notify dispatchers in the case of faults, and visually guide repair crews to the site of the problem with a flashing light.

The new line sensors will improve electrical reliability by supporting faster identification and resolution of unplanned power outages.

Location

Various locations throughout our service area.
