Working With Us

It takes a community working together to deliver safe, affordable, reliable energy to homes and businesses. We work in close partnership with local contractors, developers, consultants and businesses to support economic development while ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Fostering Diversity in Business

City Light strives to build partnerships with businesses that reflect the diversity of our community. We actively participate in the City of Seattle's Women and Minority Business (WMBE) Program to support those businesses that add value to our services, our customers and our community by promoting their inclusion in day-to-day procurement opportunities.

Learn more about our WMBE program, or contact our specialist to answer your questions.

To promote your business and make it easier to do work with City Light, register your business and get listed in the city’s online business directory.

Permitting for Electrical Service

You may need an electrical permit when you are installing new electrical wiring, altering existing wiring, extending wiring or attempting to connect to the power grid. Seattle businesses can learn more at the Seattle Department of Construction & Inspections. Businesses in other cities should contact their appropriate jurisdiction.
