What's Happening Now?

Update (July 2021): This work has been completed.

Community Benefits

  • Underground, direct buried cables in the Queen Anne neighborhood are approaching the end of their useful life and will require new electrical conduits and cables. The survey work will provide useful information for how this project will be designed.
  • Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin in 2023. More information will be provided closer to that timeframe.

Anticipated Impacts

  • Traffic and parking may be impacted during this work. Flaggers will be used where needed on residential streets.
  • All City Light crews and contractors will continue to follow public health guidance around daily health screening procedures, social distancing and appropriate personal protective equipment, including facial coverings.
  • We ask that customers keep a safe distance from City Light crews and contractors while they are at work.

  • Duration: Surveying is expected to run through the second quarter of 2021
  • Daily Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
