New Holly Power Garden
This terraced community garden is located in the City of Seattle Power Line Right of Way adjacent to the New Holly community. The terraces are built with recycled concrete sidewalks from the Holly Park community. Over 150 people, comprised of community members and community volunteer groups (including AmeriCorps, Seattle Works and Youth Volunteer Corps), worked a total of 1,200 hours to build this garden. The gardeners are New Holly residents who live in subsidized rental housing or are homeowners.
