Neighborhood Snapshots

We produce a Neighborhood Snapshot for each of Seattle’s Community Reporting Areas (CRAs). Snapshots provide commonly requested information about the population and demographic characteristics in each of these areas. Snapshots also include comparison data to provide citywide context. We produce the Neighborhood Snapshots in collaboration with the Department of Neighborhoods and the Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.

CRAs are combinations of census tracts used by the City to summarize neighborhood-level data published by the U.S. Census Bureau. Because they are based on census geographies, CRAs may not match local ideas of neighborhood boundaries. If a Snapshot doesn't show enough of the area you’re interested in, please look at Snapshots of adjoining areas.

This Seattle map represents the 53 different CRAs. Visit our Neighborhood Snapshots webmap to explore the CRAs in more detail.

For details about the Snapshot data, view these Technical Notes.

For each CRA, we provide both a graphic-rich version with comparison data for the city and an expanded, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessible version. The accessible version also has comparison data for the county, state, and U.S.
