History
A member if the West Seattle Christian Church started a small food bank garden on church grounds in 2008. The garden received lots of positive attention from neighbors and passers-by, many of whom wondered "Is it a P-Patch?" Based on that response, that same church member approached the P-Patch Program staff in late 2008 to talk about building a P-Patch on site. The P-Patch Program began helping with the initial outreach. With help from the Neighborhood Matching Fund and the Parks and Greenspaces Levy, the community members were able to raise money to start the construction of the garden. The garden was up and running in June 2009.
