Accounting and Business Consulting

2023 ABC Program Consultant Expansion

We are seeking to expand our consultant roster for the OED's Accounting and Business Consulting (ABC) Program. As a consultant, you will provide one-on-one consulting sessions to Seattle-based small businesses, aimed at establishing or growing their businesses for long-term success as part of the City's efforts to build an inclusive economy. The program does not provide ongoing business, accounting, and bookkeeping services.

We are looking for specialists in the following sectors: bookkeeping, certified public accountants (CPA), enrolled agents (EA), marketing, credit, and business. If you have at least 3-5 years of experience working with diverse Seattle-based small businesses, we encourage you to apply.

To apply, submit your Scope of Work and relevant supporting documents to robyn.duckett@seattle.gov. Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis between March 24 and April 7, 2023.

The Accounting and Business Consulting (ABC) program provides FREE one-on-one counseling and financial workshops to Seattle-based businesses seeking to re-establish operations after COVID-related disruption, and businesses wanting to scale and grow. Consulting services provided under the ABC Program will help small businesses implement sustainable financial solutions and assist with operational strategy that include but are not limited to:

  • Bookkeeping and accounting guidance
  • Business plan development
  • Marketing plan assistance
  • Cash flow management
  • Credit awareness and improvement

For questions, translation or interpretation, technical assistance, disability accommodations, materials in alternate formats or accessibility information, please contact Robyn Duckett (she/her/hers), Community Development Specialist, at Robyn.Duckett@seattle.gov or (206) 586-7779.
