Health Literacy and Benefits 101

Seattle Human Resources believes in continuous learning and the power of making informed decisions. Everyone needs to be able to find, understand, and use benefits, health information, and services at some point in life.

With the Health Literacy & Benefits 101 Initiative, we aim to:

  • Educate employees about benefits, insurance, and healthcare to help them maximize their City benefits package - getting all the care they need and only the care they need.
  • Foster savvy healthcare consumers who prioritize well-being and make confident, quality care and cost decisions.
  •  Advance equity in benefits and healthcare to ensure people of color in the City health plan receive quality care and outcomes.
