- Pike Place Market's MarketFront: In 2017, Pike Place Market grew for the first time with the new “MarketFront”, a waterfront-facing westward expansion of the Market featuring more small businesses, farmers, senior housing, public art, and a new neighborhood center.
- Seattle Aquarium's Ocean Pavilion: Seattle Aquarium’s Ocean Pavilion connects Seattle to the Indo-Pacific ecosystem in the Coral Triangle. Ocean Pavilion is an extension of the existing Seattle Aquarium on Piers 59 and 60.
Maintenance & Public Safety
Seattle Center serves as Seattle’s lead department for Waterfront Park maintenance, operations, and public safety.
Public Safety
Seattle Center Emergency Services Unit (ESU) employs a dedicated staff of uniformed security officers who regularly patrol Waterfront Park 24 hours a day by foot, bicycle, and vehicle. They also provide first aid and respond to emergencies and visitor inquiries.
ESU coordinates closely with Seattle Police Department (SPD) personnel to ensure compliance with Waterfront Park rules of conduct. Additionally, ESU works to build relationships with community members and connect park goers with social services in partnership with REACH.
