Tenant Animation - Renting in Seattle

A new way to access rental housing resources in Seattle!

What is the Renting in Seattle Resource Center?

As of September 2018, the City of Seattle has a dedicated web portal and phone number to help both landlords and renters access information about renting in Seattle.

What information is available?

The web portal provides information on the rights and obligations of both landlords and tenants in the renting process from move-in to move-out. It also describes information on City codes and enforcement processes such as what can happen when housing conditions do not meet minimum& standards or what to do if you or someone you know experiences housing discrimination. The helpline is another way to access information if you prefer to speak to someone.

Seattle believes in inclusion and equity. Immigrants and refugees are welcome here. City employees do not ask about citizenship status and serve all residents regardless of immigrant status. Interpretation is always available.
