The Seattle Design Commission advises the Mayor, City Council, and City departments on the design of capital improvements and other projects and policies that shape Seattle's public realm.

As of June 1, 2022, the Seattle Design Commission will be holding its meetings in a hybrid format, allowing for in-person attendance as well as access via WebEx. This meeting format is designed to meet new requirements adopted by the Washington State Legislature in ESHB 1329, amending Washington State’s Open Public Meeting Act (RCW 42.30). Meetings will be held in the City of Seattle’s Boards and Commission’s room – 600 – 4th Avenue, Room L2-80, Seattle.
