OPA's community engagement specialists makes presentations across the Seattle area on topics such as:

  • Introduction to OPA: A general overview of how OPA is structured and functions.
  • Complaint Process: Learn about how to file a complaint and what the complaint process is like.
  • Case deep dive: An in-depth look at OPA's complaint process using a past or relevant case study.
  • Know Your Rights: Learn more about what to expect during several common SPD interactions.

Community engagement specialists meet with a wide variety of groups, including but not limited to: high schools and colleges, public libraries, advocacy organizations, community groups, non-governmental organizations, religious organizations, community board meetings, SPD Precinct council meetings, and more.
