15th Ave S Transit Improvements

We completed this community-requested project in fall 2021.

Project Overview

This project will improve existing bus stops on 15th Ave S to operate better for people walking, biking, and riding the bus. The new shared bus stops will include level boarding for passengers and a raised bike lane separated from vehicle traffic. This Neighborhood Street Fund project is being coordinated with 15th Ave S Improvements project which includes paving and intersection safety improvements at 15th Ave S and S Columbian Way.

Schedule

The NSF program runs on 3-year cycles to select, design, and build projects. The application phase for the 2016-2018 cycle opened in 2015 and projects will be constructed in 2018.

Project Background

This is one of 12 Neighborhood Street Fund projects requested by neighbors and selected by the Levy to Move Seattle Oversight Committee as part of the 2016-2018 program cycle. Neighborhood Street Fund is a city program, running on 3-year cycles, that enables neighbors to propose and help prioritize transportation-related projects that are then built by the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT).
