Building Safety Month

Mayor Bruce Harrell has proclaimed May 2023 to be Building Safety Month in support of a national celebration of building safety sponsored by the International Code Council. This year’s Building Safety Month themes include Building Safety Starts at Home and Prepare Your Community.

As part of Building Safety Month, and in collaboration with the One Seattle Day of Service, we are hosting two online lectures to help you be more prepared for the unexpected. These presentations are a great opportunity for you to meet with SDCI experts and ask questions about your specific project or situation.

Webex meeting:

We are proud to be part of the International Code Council’s Building Safety Month and to support the One Seattle Day of Service. Building Safety Month is held every May to help raise awareness of building safety issues. The One Seattle Day of Service is an opportunity for every Seattle neighbor to participate in volunteer opportunities to give back to neighborhoods across the city.
