Public Safety Registers

The PSCSC oversees the creation of registers for qualified candidates from which the police and fire chief consider for hire and promotion. Registers are ranked based on test scores and applicable preference points - veterans’, language, and community preference points. 

Reinstatement to the eligible register

Former employees may request to be added to the reinstatement to the eligible register, subject to meeting qualified criteria under PSCSC Rule 10.03 and final decision by the appointing authority (Police or Fire Chief). Former employees should use this form to submit a request to be added to the reinstatement register.
