We welcome your participation! Joining the Age Friendly Discount Directory is an opportunity for local businesses and organizations in the greater Seattle area to grow their customer base and, at the same time, build a more age-friendly community by offering discounts to older adults and people with disabilities.

Benefits to Joining

  • Reach a growing population of older adults (500,000 in King County alone). Each year, 8K-10K new people get a Gold or FLASH card and there is lots of interest in supporting local businesses on the directory.

  • Over 11,000+ uses of Gold/FLASH cards at top 3 flagship locations in 2025 alone.
  • 87% of Gold cardholders say this program adds to their feelings of connection / increases their social connectivity.
  • 73% of cardholders indicate they would visit a new business offering a discount--  and 80% say they’d be comfortable traveling 10+ miles to do so!

Flagship Discounts

Flagships are organizations who offer a discount of over 50% off. Community Flagships are Arts and Leisure organizations who have a commitment to community to keep admission prices low for all, while still offering 20%+ off discount.

Flagship discounts are highlighted on our discount directory via a flag icon and our social media via individual posts. We also make Explore & Save flyers to highlight businesses nearby the flagship location, encouraging people to make their outing a whole adventure.

Ready to Submit a Discount for your Business?

Submit a discount of your choosing using this online form.

The form should only take 5-7 minutes to complete. The most difficult part is deciding what you want your discount to be.  

Questions? Please email agefriendly@seattle.gov if you would like help determining a discount that works for you. We accept a variety of discount structures (e.g. 20% off, buy one get one free, get a free drink with a $15+ purchase...). Alternatively, gain inspiration from other organizations’ discounts by looking at the online discount directory.

What to expect after completing the form

Your entry will be reviewed within the next few business days (M–F, excluding holidays) and your discount details will appear in the directory within two weeks after approval.

Please note:

  • The personal contact information you provide us in the form will be used for administrative purposes only.  
  • The business contact information you provide us in the form will appear live in the online directory for consumer use.
  • If approved, you will receive a confirmation email and materials via US mail (ex: a window cling to advertise your discount, a confirmation letter, and our Business Resource Guide with practical suggestions for becoming even more age-friendly).
  • If we have a question about your submission, we’ll follow up with you directly at the personal contact email address included in your web application.
