Project Status

February 2012
Seattle Parks is currently working on construction documents for this project, and construction will begin this summer.

Seattle Parks has completed three public meetings on the project. The final public meeting was October 19, 2011 6 - 7 p.m. at the Douglass-Truth Branch Library. All notes are available below for review. The preferred design is provided here on the project web site. The project will now move into the construction documents phase.

A selection panel including Parks staff and community representatives reviewed applications and interviewed a short list of consultants for the project. They selected Grindline Skateparks to work with Parks and complete the design of the skatepark.

BUDGET
The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $600,000 for planning, design and construction of a new skatespot at in Judkins Park
SCHEDULE
Planning: February - March 2011
Design: April 2011 - January 2012
Construction: February - September 2012
Completion: September 2012

Project Description

This project develops a new skatepark in accordance with the Citywide Skatepark Plan.
