About

Magnolia Boulevard is a long strip of green space that runs along the road that shares the name. Walk along this path for stunning views of the Puget Sound and territories!

Named for the neighborhood, which was named for its bluffs. George Davidson, a navy geographer, named the bluffs when he was surveying Puget Sound in 1856. They were crowned with madrona trees that may be, when viewed from a distance, mistaken for (or reminiscent of) the magnolias that Davison had no doubt often seen when he was living in the South.
