Review Status

We concluded our review of Capitol Hill Station in 2008. Construction began in 2009 and the station is expected to open for service in 2016.

Project Description

The underground Capitol Hill Station will be built just east of Broadway and south of E John Street. The station includes three entrances at the street level:

  • West entrance on the west side of Broadway just south of East Denny Way
  • South entrance at the corner of East Denny Way and Nagle Place
  • North entrance at the corner of Broadway and E Olive Way

The station will serve the densely populated neighborhood and the Broadway business district, as well as Seattle Central College, Group Health Medical Center, and other nearby employers. Travel times will be six minutes to downtown and three minutes to the University of Washington.
