Cost of Living Adjustment

A Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) is a change to your monthly pension benefit after you retire.

Each November, your monthly pension benefit will increase to provide the highest benefit calculated under one of the following cost of living adjustments:

  • A 1.5% annual compounding COLA
  • A COLA which would provide 65% of the purchasing power which the member's original retirement allowance could purchase.
