About

Quiet and secluded on the banks of the Duwamish Waterway in the South Park neighborhood, this park offers a play area with climbing and spinning play equipment plus a fun zipline! Renovated in 2022, the park offers accessible pathways, interesting interpretive art, benches and a large lawn area, complete with big trees for shade, a BBQ pit and picnic tables, and fabulous views of the Duwamish River.

Portions of the park are fenced off where additional environmental investigation needs to occur. Please follow these guidelines when visiting the park.

Current Project

Duwamish Waterway Park Activation

Public planning through the Duwamish River Community Coalition's Healthy Communities program (2013) and Seattle Parks Foundation's South Park Green Spaces Vision Plan (2014) identified Duwamish Waterway Park as a key open space in the community. The park was renovated and opened a new play area in 2022.
