Othello Playground Off-Leash Area Development

In early 2024 Seattle Parks and Recreation completed the Off-Leash Area(OLA) Expansion Study which identified multiple suitable sites for future OLA development. Sites at Othello Playground and West Seattle Stadium were funded for development and are now underway.

The new Off Leash Area development at Othello Playground will build an OLA in the current lawn space in the southwest corner of the park featuring fenced area for unleashed dogs, seating, and a planted stormwater bioretention area.

Budget

The Seattle Park District provide $3,103,000 for planning, design, and construction of two OLAs, one at West Seattle Stadium and one at Othello Playground (4351 S Othello St.)
