Look Up Collection Day
Garbage is collected every week. There is no collection service on the following holidays:

  • • Thanksgiving

  • • Christmas

  • • New Year’s Day
Following each of these holidays, service will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week. All other holidays have normal collection.

To find out collection information:

  • Look up your collection day (single-family homes only).

  • • Call (206) 684-3000.

  • Note: Seattle Housing Authority customers do not receive garbage or food and yard waste service from Seattle Public Utilities. Please contact the Seattle Housing Authority at (206) 716-1310 for your collection information.
Report Missed Collection
You can report a missed garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection after 6 PM on the day it was missed. It will be picked up within two working days. To report a missed collection you must be single family residence with 96 gallons or less of garbage service.
