South Byron Street between Rainier Avenue South and McClintock Avenue South:

Update 4/30: Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4th, depending on weather. There will be parking restrictions along the project boundaries as needed. The contractor will put up no parking signs on the affected block(s) 3 days before construction begins on that block.

This project will extend the existing sidewalk on the north side of the street and establish a pedestrian connection up the hill to McClintock Ave S. It will also include a segment on the south side of the street to connect with the existing sidewalk between Wetmore Ave S & McClintock Ave S. The street will vary in width between 25’ and 28.5’, so no new parking restrictions will be required. We will be planting trees in tree pits approximately every 25 feet along the new sidewalks.
