Sacajawea Elementary sidewalk project
20th Avenue NE between NE 96th and NE 98th Streets

New: Work to Begin on 20th Ave NE Sidewalk

A Sacajawea Elementary School mom concerned about having safe pedestrian access to the school applied to the city for Neighborhood Street Funds to build a sidewalk along 20th Avenue NE from N 96th to N 98th Streets.  The new sidewalk will complete the connection to NE 98th Street and Lake City Way. 

SDOT will build the sidewalk on the eastside of 20th Ave NE to directly connect to the existing sidewalks on NE 98th Street and Lake City Way as well as the stairs on the northside of NE 98th Street. 

The project was designed in 2008 and will be constructed in the summer of 2009.
