P-Patch Community Gardens
Marra Farm
South Park Farm
At Marra Farm, located in South Park's Marra-Desimone Park, people
come to learn about organic produce cultivation, food-related issues,
and environmental stewardship. The farm is managed by the South Park
Marra Farm Coalition, which includes the City of Seattle P-Patch and
Cultivating Communities programs, as well as Lettuce Link and Seattle
Youth Garden Works. Independence and self-management are key. We work
to cultivate the innate values of community gardening: friendships,
community building, self-reliance, neighborhood open-space, environmental
awareness, hunger relief, improved nutrition, recreation, gardening
education, and therapeutic opportunities.
