Mayor's Neighborhood Walks |
A Saturday Walk With Mayor Nickels 1/21/2006 On a recent Saturday, Mayor Greg Nickels visited three neighborhoods in Seattle. His first stop was the Haller Lake Neighborhood where he planted a tree in celebration of the city's 50th Clean and Green Event. From there he drove south to the edge of Seattle where he talked with the residents of White Center about Seattle's desire to annex all or part of that neighborhood. After a walking tour of White Center, which is partly in Seattle and unincorporated King County, Mayor Nickels participated in the ground breaking ceremonies for the new fire station a 5th and Washington in the Pioneer Square neighborhood. |
