Welcome to recovery.seattle.gov. I have created this Web site to provide you with information to track the City of Seattle’s progress as we seek federal stimulus funds.
The federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act gives Seattle an unprecedented opportunity to create or save thousands of jobs and invest in the infrastructure necessary to build a stronger economy for today and in the long-term.
On this site you will find information about the projects for which we will seek funding, and if funding is granted, how the money is being spent. In keeping with President Obama's direction, our goal is transparency and accountability, ensuring to Seattle residents that we invest these funds effectively, efficiently and wisely. I encourage you to visit this site as we post updates in the coming weeks.

The following charts graph our progress, showing how much funding we've applied for and what we've received so far. Application deadlines vary and we will update these charts as proposals are submitted and funding is received. Ultimately, we will apply for funding in all the categories listed on the charts. In some cases, the amount of money we receive is determined by "formula," meaning we receive a predetermined, set amount. In other cases, we're competing against other cities for funding and may not always receive the money we're seeking. Details on the status of specific proposals can be found in the project category section of this Web site.
