FAQs
What is recovery.seattle.gov?
It is a Web site with information about how the City of Seattle uses federal stimulus funding. Application deadlines vary, so information about specific projects for which Seattle is seeking funding will be posted here as they are submitted. If we receive funding, you can use the information posted on this Web site to track how we are spending it.
What types of projects will Seattle do?
There are many categories of federal stimulus funding available and to be competitive, the City must prioritize its best opportunities when applying for these monies. Application rules and deadlines will vary but one basic requirement has emerged: projects have to be ready to begin as soon as funding is awarded. Our teams are developing our proposals now and as they are submitted, we will post them on this Web site. Seattle will seek funding for projects that fall within these categories: community development, economic development, energy, environment, public safety, social services, and transportation.
How can I provide suggestions for Seattle projects?
We have provided an online form to make it easy for you to share your ideas.
