Report on Clean Seattle Initiative

 

95th Clean & Green Seattle - Magnolia

On Saturday, February 7, 2009, Mayor Greg Nickels led more than seventy- five (75) volunteers and City workers as they removed weeds and installed native plants. Volunteers also picked up litter. Community participants included Pam Lewis of Sustainable Magnolia. Seattle City Light’s Neighborhood Power Project co-sponsored the event. Department of Neighborhoods, Seattle Department of Transportation, Seattle Parks and Recreation, Office of Emergency Management, the Department of Corrections and Seattle Public Utilities also assisted in the effort. Magnolia/Queen Anne News covered the event. Anthony Harris took digital photographs.
