The purpose of this project is to stabilize the steep rock slope behind the Diablo powerhouse by removing vegetation, scaling loose rock, and constructing a rockfall protection near the base of the rock slope. This will minimize the risk of damage to the powerhouse, improving the reliability of Seattle City Light’s power generation capacity. The contractor performing this work is Granite Construction Company of Bellingham, WA.
