Neighborhood notification and community relations requirements from Seattle’s 2007 Update of the 2005-2008 Consolidated Plan include distributing notices about the development to each address within 500 feet of the housing site. Addresses can be found by using the King County parcel viewer.

If you plan on distributing notices by hand:

  • Enter the address or the parcel number of the development site
  • Set the ‘buffer distance’ at 500 ft.; the application will return a list of taxpayer names and site addresses.

If you plan on sending notification by mail:

  • Enter the address or the parcel number of the development site
  • Set the ‘buffer distance’ at 500 ft.; the application will return a list of taxpayer names and site addresses. Download the list of addresses generated by Parcel Viewer.
  • Enter each property tax account number (generated from the Parcel Viewer search) to obtain each taxpayer's mailing address.
