What’s Happening Now?

Sound Transit selected development teams from their request for qualifications process for redevelopment of their Capitol Hill TOD sites in May. Since then, Sound Transit has released a request for proposals for the teams to respond to by November 3. Sound Transit expects to select the final proposals by December in order for construction to start in 2016.

One of the sites will be an affordable housing development that will likely be funded in part by the Office of Housing. Other community priorities for the sites include space for the Broadway Farmers Market, cultural center space, neighborhood retail, a public plaza, and pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly streets and connections. More information regarding these priorities can be found on the Capitol Hill Champion’s website.

The End Result
