Partnership Opportunities
For the past year, the City has worked with neighborhood representatives and the broader public to develop a vision for the future of the U District. The Draft Urban Design Framework describes this process, guiding principles, and specific recommendations.
The working group that helped develop these recommendations includes residents, business owners, the faith community, social service providers, developers, and the University of Washington. Topics include:
Over the next two years, the U District Urban Design Framework will inform important decisions relating to zoning, design standards, and street design. Now is a great time to get involved and help us understand your vision for the U District.
